The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has approved alternative method of assessment for awarding marks for Class X board exams. Under this, subject-wise highest marks secured by a candidate in Class IX (both half yearly and annual exam) and in the practice exams (second, third and fourth) in Class X will be considered for the assessment. For the practice exams conducted in Class X, the board will consider the two highest marks achieved in each subject.
